Conference will be held in Hotel Bratislava - Congress Hall and Adjacent Hotel Premises,
Seberiniho #9, 820 12 Bratislava 2, Slovak Republic.
Official Conference Languages
English (preferably), Czech and Slovak with simultaneous translation.
Registration
Please be so kind to send us the obligatory forms not later than August 31st,1999
to the Conference Secretariat Address (fax mailed application will be also accepted).
After the deadline we will accept the applications only according to the capacity
possibilities. We shall not send any confirmation of the accepted applications, but in the
case that more applications cannot be accepted, the applicants will be notified in
writing.
Conference Fee
We recommend you to send your application form as soon as possible, because of limited
number of participants (350)

Deduction
One of the authors of each accepted presentation will pay only 50 % of
conference fee75 USD resp. 90 USD.
One of the authors of each accepted poster will pay only 75% of the
conference fee -113 USD resp.135 USD
The registration fee covers the Conference organisation expenses, one copy of the
Conference Proceedings, lunch and refreshments during the Conference. The fee does not
cover the accommodation or board. If a delegate is unable to attend the Conference, a
substitution can be made at any time. It is possible to cancel the application in writing
till September 10th, 1999. Fees (less a 10 % administration charge) will then be returned.
No refund can be made for cancellations received after September 10th, 1999.
Participation fee should be paid by bank remittance.

Registration of the Participants
Monday September 20th, 1999 from 15 p.m. to 20 p.m.
Tuesday September 21st, 1999 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and during the Conference at
the registration desk situated in the entrance hall of Hotel Bratislava. The participants
will be requested to present a document on the Conference fee payment at registration.
Transport to the Hotel Bratislava
From the railway station by tram No 8 or by bus No34.
From bus station Mlynske Nivy by trolley-bus No 220.
The transportation of participants to the hotel will NOT be provided by the organisers.
Catering
During the Conference (September 21st - 23rd ) will be served
lunch and refreshment in the hotel Bratislava.

Climate
In Bratislava the climate in September is usually very variable, average temperature in
September is 18oC.
Passport and visa
All foreign visitors to Slovakia are required to hold a passport and a valid visa
except for citizens of most European countries. Please check visa regulations between your
country and Slovakia when making your travel arrangements. Visa can be granted by
Slovakian Embassies or Consulates.
Currency, exchange
The official currency in Slovakia is the Slovak crown (SK), the exchange rate : 1 USD
is equal to approximately 44 SK.
Exchange facilities are offered to participants at the airport, in hotels, banks, first
class restaurant and city stores.
Electricity supply
In Slovakia electricity is supplied at 220 V, 50Hz. The 2-pin connecting plug is
different from that used in some other countries e.g. USA, UK, Japan, etc.
