The Slovak Association for Asphalt Pavements and Slovnaft VÚRUP, Inc. Bratislava, in cooperation with experts from the USA and Canada, are organizing a workshop:

”SUPERPAVE Technology”

The objective of this workshop is to familiarize experts from the Central European road construction industry with the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) performed in the USA, its initiation and its products.

Products of the SHRP are new SUPERPAVE (SUperior PERforming PAVEments) performance related specifications for bituminous binders and paving mixes that represent new ways of better characterizing and evaluating these materials.

Since these new characterization systems are slowly finding their way into European specifications, it is important that the Central European technical public is aware of them first-hand through presentations by North American experts involved in the implementation and further development of SUPERPAVE.

Please use the enclosed registration form to register for the workshop. Additional forms can be obtained from the conference secretariat or from our website.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for participants includes workshop proceedings (on CD-ROM), coffee and admission to all conference activities. The fee does not cover accommodation.

If a delegate is unable to attend the workshop, a substitute person can attend at any time. No refund will be made for cancellations.

The participation fee should be paid by bank transfer on or before May 31^st 2002. Please indicate the participant’s name clearly in order to ensure that the payment is correctly registered.

Workshop Language

The official workshop language is English. It will be used for all presentations and printed materials. Simultaneous interpretation will be available in the Slovak language.

Welcoming Reception

The welcoming reception will be at the City Hotel Bratislava on Wednesday, June 19^th from 18:00 to 20:00. Access is free for all workshop participants.

Workshop Dinner

The workshop dinner will be at the City Hotel Bratislava on Thursday, June 20^th, from 19:30 to 22:00. Access will be free for all participants with full registration. Dinner tickets will be included with the workshop documents. Student registration with the reduced fee does not include the workshop dinner.

Advertisement Offer

Companies can advertise on free space on the CD-ROM proceedings. The cost of advertisement on the CD-ROM is 130 EUR.

Companies can advertise on panelboards, too. The cost of advertisement on the panelboards is 130 EUR.

The cost for companies, which ordered both advertisement on CD-ROM and panelboard is 200 EUR.
