Use: Bituminous emulsions EMULBIT M, N are mainly used for impregnating or isolating works, as coating materials for impregnation of wood, concrete areas against humidity or as base coat under isolating bituminous cardboard, concrete interlayers etc. They are applied everywhere bitumens are used, i.e. to isolate roofings of building against leaks, as base coat under bentonite dispersion or antireflecting coatings. They are applied while cold, at temperature below 50°C. The lowest application temperature is 5°C; frost deteriorates the emulsion irreversible. It is not recommended to perform coating in the case that rainy weather or a temperature below the ice point are expected during the next 48 hours. They are applied with a paintbrush or shingling brush. The consumption of emulsion is approx. 0,5-0,6 kg/m2 of coated surface. The contact of bituminous emulsion with alkali or anion-active substances is not permitted – immediate breaking of emulsion occurs.
Cation – active bituminous emulsions EMULBIT M, N are medium fast breaking emulsions of brown up to black colour. The bituminous component of emulsions are forming modified or non-modified bitumens. The emulsion are of acidic nature. According to STN 65 0201 they are combustible liquids. They are ecologic coating materials without organic solvents.

The bituminous emulsions Emulbit M, N from the standpoint of direct effect upon human organism classified among substances of average biological activity (II. B). It is necessary during handling and work to use protective means (twill clothing, working footwear, suitable gloves, protective glasses or shield). In the event of skin contact to wash-off affected place with water and soap and treat with reparative skin cream. It is not acceptable to wash-off skin with crude-oil products or solvents (naphtha, toluene, acetone, etc.).
Bituminous emulsions Emulbit M, N are supplied in 8 kg or 15 kg packages or in other packages according to customerīs requirements. They are stored in well closed packages at sites protected against climatic influences, mainly rain, dust, sunlight and direct effect of heating elements. Recommended storage temperature is minimum 2°C. Frost deteriorates bituminous emulsions irreversible. Storage life in original packages, observing the given conditions, is 2 months from the date of filling at the producerīs site.
