The alternative fuels so called secondary fuels are specified in the Decree No. 228/2014 Coll. laying down requirements on the fuel quality and on maintenance of operation file on fuels, in the text of Decree No. 367/2015 Coll. by the Slovak Ministry of Environment: The second fuel is made from waste, it achieved the status of end of waste and it will not be considered waste anymore but a compound, mixture or product. The secondary fuel may be produced from waste only.
A secondary fuel may be:
- Solid
- Liquid
- Gaseous
